public speaking lesson plans speech lessons

Students: it’s possible that Mrs. Sparhawk took grades on the D.O.L. (grammar assignment) today. Please ask her if she did. If so, it’s now possible to download a D.O.L. makeup sheet right here on Clipboards. Just click on the “Assignments” button at the top and download one of the D.O.L. makeup assignments. (Or you can just get one from the makeup work center at school.)

Parents: Students need to bring home their vocabulary list tonight, as the vocabulary test is tomorrow, Friday, January 13, 2012. Please encourage them to study.

Tonight’s homework includes practicing our speeches, if you haven’t given yours yet. Officially, speeches began on Tuesday, but some students still need to give theirs.  Parents can do a lot to help kids prepare with speech-practice time at home.

Please note that tomorrow (Friday) is also the last day to turn in makeup work for Mrs. Sparhawk’s classes. She sent home a progress report earlier this week, so students would know if they’re missing any work. Because it’s the last day of the quarter, Friday, January 20, 2012 (that’s next Friday) will be the last day students can make up a speech (if they’ve been absent).

Thanks for checking in with Clipboards!
