Six Traits Plus One Powerpoint Presentation for Educators

Students: it’s possible that Mrs. Sparhawk took grades on the D.O.L. (grammar assignment) today. Please ask her if she did. If so, it’s now possible to download a D.O.L. makeup sheet right here on Clipboards. Just click on the “Assignments” button at the top and download one of the D.O.L. makeup assignments. (Or you can just get one from the makeup work center at school.)

Parents: our next vocabulary test will be given on Friday, April 13, 2012. Today we were given that new list: “Folklore Vocabulary List 5” (which can also be found here, on Clipboards, at this link.

Students: if you need a copy of this week’s vocabulary words, that list can be found in the Tuesday box, in the make-up work center.

After we did our vocabulary, we continued to fill out our thesis statement graphic organizer. Students who finished early got a head start on their outlines. There’s a sample outline on the back of your vocabulary list, so you can kind of see how a good outline might look. Just make sure your outline matches your thesis–don’t just copy the example word for word–make your outline your own!
