It’s possible that Mrs. Webmaster took grades on the D.O.L. today. Please ask her if she did. If so, you need to go to a box in the make-up work center that says “extra D.O.L.” and get a worksheet from this box. You can take this home and do it as homework, but don’t forget to turn it in when you return to school tomorrow. If you’re reading this at home, you can download and print a D.O.L. from the Assignments page, as long as you haven’t already done those D.O.L. sentences.
We’ve now finished copying the definitions from our patriotic vocabulary list, which can be found here on Clipboards under the Vocabulary Lists heading on the top menu. The test will be given on Friday, October 5th. Be sure to study these words and their definitions in preparation for the test.
After that, we worked on our “Patriot’s Pen” essays. The first draft of this essay (at least five complete paragraphs) is due on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. If an absence has set you behind, feel free to come in at lunch by appointment, to make up the writing time you’ve missed. However, we’ll continue working on this essay project through Tuesday, October 2nd, in class. So as long as you work diligently each day, you might be just fine.
