It’s possible that Mrs. Webmaster took grades on the D.O.L. today. Please ask her if she did. If so, you need to go to a box in the make-up work center that says “extra D.O.L.” and get a worksheet from this box. You can take this home and do it as homework, but don’t forget to turn it in when you return to school tomorrow. If you’re reading this at home, you can download and print a D.O.L. from the Assignments page, as long as you haven’t already done those D.O.L. sentences.

Mrs. Webmaster collected everyone’s VFW essays yesterday. Have you turned yours in yet? If not, get it in NOW. Don’t wait a minute longer! Remember, always put make-up work in Mrs. Webmaster’s hand; never leave it sitting on her messy desk!

Today was the last day to turn in make-up work or extra credit for the first quarter.

We also started a project called the “letter to parent” today. If you were absent, you may want to look at a classmate’s “letter to parent” to see what he/she wrote for the heading and inside address. Then you can copy the greeting and first paragraph from the sample “letter to parent” that can be found on the “Assignments” page, right here on ClipBoards. Just click the “Assignments” title in the menu bar at the top, and it will take you to a sample “letter to parent.”
