Today Mrs. Webmaster passed out a new vocabulary list today. (If you click this link: Poetry Vocabulary List 5B, you can download the student copy.) The definitions for that vocabulary list are also available on the “Vocabulary” link in the top menu, here on Clipboards. Please note that next week is a super-short week, so our spelling/vocabulary test will be given on Friday, November 30.

We also copied our assignments into our agendas. Please take the time to copy your assignments for the week ahead.

At the end of class, we scored each other’s “Letter to Parent.” If you were gone for this, you should set an official appointment to come in at lunch or after school to make that up. When you score someone’s writing, you learn a lot about the six traits of writing!

It’s possible that Mrs. Webmaster took grades on the D.O.L. today. Please ask her if she did. If so, you need to go to a box in the make-up work center that says “extra D.O.L.” and get a worksheet from this box. You can take this home and do it as homework, but don’t forget to turn it in when you return to school tomorrow. If you’re reading this at home, you can download and print a D.O.L. from the Assignments page, as long as you haven’t already done those D.O.L. sentences.
