We continued to copy definitions onto our new vocabulary list today. (If you click this link: Poetry Vocabulary List 5B, you can download the student copy.) The definitions for that vocabulary list are also available on the “Vocabulary” link in the top menu, here on Clipboards. Please note that next week is a super-short week, so our spelling/vocabulary test will be given on Friday, November 30.

Today we were given time in class to finish our rhyme tables. If you need a rhyme table, you can find copies of these in the Tuesday box, in the make-up work center, or just download one right here and print it at home. Here it is: Rhyme Table 2. We also talked about our up-coming poetry assignment: the snowflake poem. If you’d like to see some examples of snowflake poems that were created in the past, just ask Mrs. Webmaster to show them to you.

It’s possible that Mrs. Webmaster took grades on the D.O.L. today. Please ask her if she did. If so, you need to go to a box in the make-up work center that says “extra D.O.L.” and get a worksheet from this box. You can take this home and do it as homework, but don’t forget to turn it in when you return to school tomorrow. If you’re reading this at home, you can download and print a D.O.L. from the Assignments page, as long as you haven’t already done those D.O.L. sentences.
