Encyclopedia Girl

Any time you’ve been gone, you need to ask Mrs. Webmaster if she took grades on the D.O.L. assignments. If so, go get a D.O.L. make-up sheet from the make-up work center, take it home, follow the directions, and turn it in. Remember that Mrs. Webmaster’s hand is her in-box; NEVER leave make-up work on her desk.

Monday, Jan. 14: Please take the time to write assignments in your agenda. You’ll notice we have a spelling test this Thursday. You can find those definitions on the “Vocabulary Lists” page, right here on ClipBoards. We finished our thesis statement graphic organizers today. Everyone needs to have a finished thesis in order to write an outline.

Tuesday, Jan.15: Today Mrs. Webmaster gave kids time to research the careers they’ve chosen using Worldbook Encyclopedias and the library books that we looked at on Monday with “Musical Books.” Remember that we have a spelling/vocabulary test this Thursday!

Wednesday, Jan. 16: Today we practiced for tomorrow’s test by doing a crossword puzzle. Extra copies of this crossword are in the Wednesday box.

Thursday, Jan. 17: Today we took a test on MyBigCampus.com online. You can go to MyBigCampus from home to take today’s spelling/vocabulary test if you’re reading this at home. Isn’t that nice? You can take your spelling test from your home computer! Wow! Make sure you’re taking the test for “Writing Vocabulary List 36” (the password is money).

Friday, Jan. 18:  There was no school today.
