Monday, Dec. 9

It’s possible that your teacher took grades on the D.O.L. today. Please ask her if she did. If so, you need to get a D.O.L. make-up sheet from your teacher.

We were given a new vocabulary list last Monday. As always, the definitions are found under “Vocabulary Lists” in the top menu. The spelling test over this list will be given on Friday, December 13. Don’t wait until the last minute to start studying!

Today we put together our mystery stories to turn in. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go get a cover sheet from the Monday box. Do not put your name on this cover sheet, but  record your class period (like 1st period, 3rd period, etc.) in the box provided for that.
  2. Staple your whole mystery story together with the cover sheet on top. Make sure all of your pages are in order.
  3. Turn it in to the teacher. Remind her to record your student number in her gradebook, when you turn it in!

Today we met in the computer lab to edit one another’s papers. We’re using a PowerPoint Google document to guide our editing. You can see the URL for this Google PPT document on the whiteboard in the computer lab.

When peer editing, if your cover sheet was blue, you need to edit other papers that have blue cover sheets. If your cover sheet was white, only edit students who also have white cover sheets.
