DAILY JOURNAL ASSIGNMENTS:

Monday, April 20: Last week we learned that a black person is only mentioned once in The Red Badge of Courage. How would the novel be different, if it was told by an African American soldier in the Union Army?

Tuesday, April 21: Copy three sentences that demonstrate realism in The Red Badge of Courage.

Wednesday, April 22: If you were a Native American, would you fight for the North or the South during the American Civil War? Explain why.

Thursday, April 23: Write 3 to 5 sentences describing everything you can remember about “The Devil and Tom Walker.” You may go get a textbook and use it to refresh your memory.
