DAILY LANGUAGE REVIEW: Ask your teacher if she took grades on the DLR and find out from a classmate which one(s) you missed. If you were absent when your teacher took grades on the DLR, find a copy of the one you missed in the make-up work center. Take it home and edit and/or revise it as needed. Before you turn it in to the teacher, please draw a box around the one you missed with a highlighter pen, and tell your teacher “I still need a grade for this.” (Otherwise it may get lost in the stacks of other DLR assignments.)
DAILY CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES:
Monday, Oct. 5: Today we finished editing our Titanic essays. The teacher took grades on the DLR for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th periods, so if you’re in one of those classes, please ask for a copy of the DLR from that day.
Tuesday, Oct. 6: Today we created a “Works Cited” page together as a class. With only a couple of exceptions, we’re all creating an identical “Works Cited” page, because we’ve all used the same resources for our essay’s quotations. (So you can pretty much copy the “Works Cited” page from any trusted classmate.) It’s possible that 1st period took grades on the DLR. Please ask your teacher if you need to make that up too.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 – Thursday, Oct. 8: Today we turned in our essays on Titanic. If you need more time to type yours, let the teacher know. If the little computer lab is open at the back of the classroom, your teacher may allow you to finish typing in there. If not, please plan to come in during Friday school to make up the time you need for typing.
