DAILY LANGUAGE REVIEW: Ask your teacher if she took grades on the DLR and find out from a classmate which one(s) you missed. If you were absent when your teacher took grades on the DLR, find a copy of the one you missed in the make-up work center. Take it home and edit and/or revise it as needed. Before you turn it in to the teacher, please draw a box around the one you missed with a highlighter pen, and tell your teacher “I still need a grade for this.” (Otherwise it may get lost in the stacks of other DLR assignments.)

DAILY CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES:

Monday, March 14: Today everyone took the E.O.C. Assessment test (mid-term test). Please make arrangements to come to Friday school if you missed this important test.

Tuesday, March 15 – Thursday, March 17: All week we’ll be scoring the historical fiction stories. By scoring them, we become more familiar with the six traits of good writing, so if you were gone during this week, please go to the “Six Traits of Writing” page on EnglishEmporium.WordPress.com and study these traits of good writing. Our final E.O.C. may be, in part, over what we’ve learned about the traits of good writing.
